The holding capability is calculated and sufficient to avoiding slip at normal differential loads
Stress analysis of suspension clamp by software CATIA
General:
Suspension clamps used to connect the Conductors to the Insulators. The product range comprises for all purposes. Clamp with and without Armor rods are available in the range.
Vibration:
To minimize oscillation effects most of the clamps are of an oscillating or trunnion type with trumpet shaped grooves generating low specific pressure onto the Conductor.
Corona & RIV:
Good corona and radio interference voltage (RIV) behavior due to rounded shapes of the clamps.
Holding strength:
The holding capability is sufficient and slipping is avoided at normal differential loads. An exception is the slipping type one which allows defined slipping.
Counterweights:
Counterweights can be applied on all type of clamps.
Short circuit withstand capability:
The short circuit withstand capability is excellent due to a narrow ranged groove which leads to a large contact areas. The connecting parts of the clamps are adjusted to suit requirements.
